Under the Patronage of His Excellency Dr. Khaled Al Karaky, the Minister of Education, Microsoft Jordan launched the 1st annual local Innovative Education Forum (IEF) in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Jordan Education Initiative (JEI) to celebrate the impressive work of local educators helping students realize their full potential through the Virtual Classroom Tour (VCT).

36 teachers from 25 schools, including Discovery Schools, Madrasati Schools and other public schools across the Kingdom, submitted their own technology-integrated projects through the use of the VCT, in order to compete in the local IEF and go on to participate in IEF Arabia.

Ministry of Health recently signed off the implementation of a one of a kind datacenter dubbed as Pulsator (Al-Nabed). Al-Nabed is an all-inclusive datacenter installed to upgrade and enhance MoH’s infrastructure in order to enable the deployment of enterprise applications and introduce new healthcare e-services to the UAE public.

The datacenter was implemented by leading systems integrator Itqan Al-Bawardi Computers, which upgraded MoH’s infrastructure setup through enhancing the networking environment, the network security, systems and storage infrastructure, in addition to Microsoft infrastructure technologies. The implementation is a result of the UAE e-Government stipulations that emphasize the importance of introducing more e-services to the public and creating higher automation of processes.
