Pooya Darugar, Local Software Economy Lead from Microsoft Gulf is hosting a “MVP Lunch” for all the existing MVPs or people who are active in the local communities who has the potential to become the future MVPs. This meetup will be hosted at Tawasol Restaurant (map), which is near Clock Tower, Deira on Thursday, 28 January, 2010 at 2:30 pm. If you want to attend this meetup, just shoot an email to Pooya for confirmation. The agenda of this meeting will be:

  • Getting to know everyone
  • Sharing the MVP experience
  • TechEd – how we can drive attendance, what do we want to see in sessions
  • State of the user groups

Menu
Traditional gulf meal called “Mandi” will be served during this meetup. For “Mandi“, generally you sit on the floor and eat it with your hands but there are also tables and utensils :) , If you are a vegetarian, please contact Pooya as the choices are limited there, it’s pretty much rice and lamb, chicken or fish.

Directions

  • Cross Maktoum Bridge
  • Stay in the 3rd lane from the right (go in the tunnel under the clock tower)
  • Make the next U turn
  • Make your 1st right, there is a large parking lot next to the mosque on your left
  • Park here and walk back towards Clock tower (paid parking but free from 1-4pm), cross the street and you will see Tawasol on your right (before the next parking lot and Clock Tower)
