Microsoft Gulf announced that it will showcase its latest academic software at GESS 2010 (Gulf Educational Supplies and Solutions), the Middle East’s premier educational supply and solutions event. The technology vendor’s presence at the event is in line with its efforts to provide access to high-quality education experiences through technology.

GESS 2010 takes place from February 23-25 2010 in which Microsoft will showcase a wide range of its educational offerings including new solutions such as Microsoft Office Academic Toolkit; Microsoft Learning Gateway and the already popular live@edu. Microsoft has designed its educational software to allow students to collaborate both on and off campus and become motivated by learning experiences they can relate to and which will help them compete successfully in today’s global economy.

Zaki Khoury, Business Manager, Microsoft Gulf, said ”Microsoft has made a long-term commitment to working with governments, educators, students and industry partners to expand the world of learning through technology to implement better ways to transform education for the benefit of students and teachers. GESS 2010 is the perfect platform to demonstrate our offerings for the education sector that enrich classroom instruction and enhance learning outcomes for students.”

Sue Rothwell, Group Event Director, F&E commented: “With eLearning increasingly becoming part of mainstream education and transforming classroom interaction, it is only fitting that as the only regional show in the Middle East to address the entire spectrum of educational needs, Microsoft has chosen GESS to unveil its latest educational solutions. Visitors to the show will be able to see firsthand how the technology can be implemented to provide more effective learning and teaching tools.”
