
Gulf Developer Conference is the biggest developer event that takes place in Saudi Arabia. This is a 3-days conference that is expected to attract more than 2,400 attendees from Saudi Arabia and near-by Gulf countries. The current event dates are set on Dec 13-15, 2009. The conference will be held at Al-Yamamah University, on the same premise of the new Microsoft Innovation Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. There will be 3 parallel tracks that would be delivered simultaneously for the duration of the event. The current speakers are:
Abdurrahman Al-Qahtani, Microsoft Architect
Abdurrahman Al-Qahtani is Architect Evangelist at Microsoft Saudi, working with the Developer and Platform Evangelism group. He works with communities to raise the awareness and adoption of new technologies and architectures from Microsoft. He also works with enterprises to show Microsoft platform value and drive adoption to address business needs.
Adel Zubair, Sr. Development Consultant
I was born in a family that love’s technology. My father is a Math teacher so i was born to think logically! wrote my first application using Quick BASIC at the age of 9 and won several awards Kingdom wise during high school in Computer Competitions. My love to Development made everyone around saying that i’ll get married to Visual Studio. I worked for different companies as Developer, Senior Consultant in dot Net and Currently working as a Project Manager. Started to have interest in Windows Mobile since i got my first Windows device and found that it is a real challenge to develop applications for these devices with limited resources, at the same time they are so fun to use, so i started the “Windows Phone Middle East” Community (Windows Mobile Power Group on Facebook) to spread out my knowledge
Amer Atiyah, Dynamics Ax Consultant
Amer has a bachelor degree in Computer science from the University of Jordan, MCSD on .NET, and MCTS for Dynamics AX development. Amer is a technical expert on many technologies; including .NET, BizTalk Server, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM and most importantly on Dynamics AX. Amer has good experience in developing web application e-government solutions in Saudi using .NET technology. He has over three years of experience specifically in Dynamics AX development and has been involved in more than 15 projects in different verticals.
Ali Ramadan, Continual Service Improvement Director – Global Knowledge
More than 18 years experience in client/server and Web applications software design and development. Proficient in application design & programming, scalability of applications, application infrastructure management, maintenance and support. Experience in advising clients on strategy and developing business critical, multi-tier applications utilizing leading edge technologies. Proficient in database management techniques from conceptual to implementation phase. ITIL life cycle processes implementation experience.
Anton Delsink, Technology Advisor
A programmer at heart, Anton Delsink has extensive skills in developing solutions around Visual Studio, Team System and SQL Server. As a Microsoft Certified Trainer, he participates in worldwide events such as Microsoft TechEd, Professional Developers Conference and Mix. Anton joined Microsoft Gulf in Dubai in March 2007 and has been a vocal spokesperson for the improvement of software development practices in the region.
Fauzan Khan, Technical Consultant
Fauzan Khan is a Consultant working with a large consulting firm. He is a certified MCSD.NET / MCDBA / MCT with over 16 years experience. Fauzan’s competency goes beyond .NET development to extend to other development technologies (e.g. SQL 2005, SPS, CMS). Fauzan is considered to be one of the most senior technical experts within the developer community (in both training and consultancy). He is known with his deep knowledge/ expertise in existing and upcoming new Microsoft technologies.
Hassan Khawaja, Microsoft Field Engineer
Hassan Khawaja works as a Senior Premier Field Engineer at Microsoft, based out of the Riyadh, Saudi Arabia office. He works with all of the leading companies plus Public Sectors around the Kingdom and the Gulf region. This involves working proactively and reactively with the customer to ensure they are using Microsoft Technology in the most efficient and productive ways.
Jerry Yasir, Sharepoint Consultant
Jerry is Founder and President of Riyadh SharePoint User Group (RSUG.NET) and SharePoint Consultant at EJADA. He hold a master degree in Computer Sciences and has nearly 8 Years of experience working in Microsoft Technologies including SharePoint, Microsoft .NET and Project Server. He is currently responsible of executing and managing many large scale SharePoint implementations in Saudi Arabia. He is a keen speaker and SharePoint trainer with interest on speaking on planning, implementation, customization and developing applications on top of Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies and Microsoft Enterprise Project Management solutions. Kadri Umary, Microsoft Architect
Kadri Umay is currently working as an Industry Solutions Architect for Saudi Aramco. He has been working for Microsoft for more than 10 years spanning roles that include support and consultancy. He holds an MSC Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Architect. Prior to joining Microsoft he has worked as an Academician, on Process Control and Automation and Software Development.
Mohamad Halabi, Architect
Mohamad Halabi works as an architect and consultant for ITD. He worked in software houses in Lebanon and KSA and currently handles BPM and SOA projects in the government education sector.
Mohamed Mosallem, Development Lead
