Microsoft Egypt recently hosted the first event introducing SharePoint Server 2010 by Egypt SharePoint User Group and SharePoint4Arabs.com. ESPUG is the first user group in Egypt dedicated to SharePoint technology founded by Marwan Tarek. SharePoint4Arabs is the only online community presenting and explaining SharePoint technologies in Arabic. You can find a lot of videos, presentations and resources for SharePoint online discussing the different aspects of SharePoint.

Marwan Tarek started the event with a great introduction to SharePoint 2010, discussing about the upcoming features, business collaboration platform, technologies mapping, SharePoint foundation & evolution, server/client requirements and others changes to the offerings. Second presentation was by Mohamed Yehia which was targeted towards giving developers an update on the changes with Visual Studio 2010, which will give them some amazing time-saving functionality when it comes to customizing SharePoint.These activites are a great way for the community to interconnect and share their knowledge of SharePoint.
