Hmm.. allote to tell regarding performance, UI, Security, Network discovery….
Lets start with the UI features, this particular OS is allote responsive, how microsoft manage the windows alligning over desktop is owhsome specially for the users who are working in multiple monitor envoirement, before win7 it was really a pain in neck to drag a window from one screen to other.
Feature as performance is concern i am loving it.. i am using a build release for now and as i am a developer i mostly need a vm to be running some times one or soo and this os rocks for its resource menagment there is no need to shead off the aero feature or to moving to classic themes.
Wifi discovery and network menagment feature were never more easy than before or in any OS; shifting between homeoffice network is just a piece of cake it seems that we are having two machines under single hood.

windows 7 has great user interface, is a lot faster, 32-bit can detect all the ram on the system even if there is above 4 gigabytes of ram and has the best of new technologies like xp mode so old legacy apps can be ran on it aswell. The number 1 feature is that it far surpasses the speed of previous versions of windows.

I'll keep my answer simple (like Win7). I love the new jumplists. Now I don't have to sift through my hard disk to find an important file. I can just have it pinned and it'll just be there.!

well , i have to say .. it is the windows that forced me to uninstall windows xp sp3
i've been using windows Xp since 2003… i hate it at first but after sp3 it was perfection
i installed vista for 5 days then i rolled back to Xp … (vista was… )
but when i tried windows 7 WOW …
all the great stuff of Xp and all of vista's graphics PLUS more … speed,stability, driver updates , fast network , AERO is amazing , switching tapes is very nice too … media center ,media streaming ( useful for my xbox )
i had a problem with my ptinter driver when i installed it … so i went back to xp … but i couldn't leave that great system for a printer
… so Goodbye Xp and vista .. .welcome windows 7

Hello. I am the lucky winner (Kidding). Well, what can I say…Microsoft is one of my daily activities, and Windows 7 has really changed my daily work. Its much more flexible, its faster, easier and I'm comfortable with that.
About the new features of Win7, I can can give you a lot of them, but one that i like the appearance of open windows in the task bar- that one is great, and reduces the mess that happened to me before.
Waiting 4 Win7 Ultimate.. Thank you.

Speed, Relibility, Response Time, and the All the Gloss, Power of Vista with the Ease of XP, I have developed a passion for Windows Vista, even though it was quite heavy for my old crappy hardware, but Windows 7 saves me spending a lot on a hardware upgrade, Excellent Resopnse time on a PC running under 3 Ghz with 2 GiB Ram, and a low cost graphic processor.

Windows 7 will be the dominator of Operating systems market soon even before you know it, it supports multi-touch, XP mode for legacy applications, wonderful Aero features, wallpaper rotator and is very focused on getting things done easily and quickly and not only this, but it have under its belt the stability and security that were developed over tens of years at the largest development arsenal “Microsoft” in the entire world.
After using windows since 1997 .. I would never choose something else as it really builds on user experience and expertise and with every new release they do provide new and fantastic features. And windows 7 and the real OS for me as it helps me a lot in my daily work

Probably the best part of windows 7 is optimized consumption of RAM normally we see newer versions more heavy on RAM, in this case it has beaten the previous version on that account. Crisp clear UI, fast detection of hardware, jump lists, bit locker, media options, stability (no blue screens at all;)) and problem steps recorder are the features which tempt you to upgrade to 7 asap.
.
I personally liked aero shake alot because in XPVista whenever i was copying or installing something i used to shake the windows habitually, now it will be with a purpose

Windows 7 is a lot better than my previous WIndows Vista. I installed Windows 7 Professional a month ago and I experience a greater expereince than before.
Likewise in RAM consumption, in Windows Vista it consumes 900Mb to 1.2Gb when it starts. Unlike in WIndows 7, it's a lot lower. It consumes RAM by only about 500Mb to750Mb for the startup with the same programs in my WIndows Vista. So for this, I will have more RAM space for other big programs that I would like to run. (i.e Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, etc.)
I also like the Aero Snap which automatically resizes the window to any of the four sides of the screen thatI would like to place without any hassle. Unlike in the previous Windows OS, you will have to resize the window by yourself.
The Aero Peek feature of WIndows 7 gives me also convenience in running my favorite programs. It's just like in Mac OS X or the Quick Launch of WIndows but is all displayed (unlike in the original quick launch, only 3 or 4 programs are displayed and the rest are hidden). I will just click it once then whoop! That's it! The program is now running. Also, I can customise which programs I will put and place them anywhere in the taskbar.
The other features that I like are the jump list, bitlocker to go, revolutionary windows themes, aero shake, UAC that is now able to edit it's prompts, the changing of desktop wallpapers every any given time you want, the new system tray which I can hide all icons that I don't want to see, and also the new boot image of Windows 7.

Big improvement on the Windows Taskbar to allow snapshot/thumbnail previews of the, often times, many things I have open but minimized to the taskbar. Previously, I would nave to go through several different document types that I have open to find the one that need. Also, the performance improvements, especially boot time, resuming from sleep, and better use of system memory, are a HUGE PLUS.

There are lot of new features of Windows 7 that i like. I realy like the snap feature as i use that loads when i am transfering files or looking at two internet pages. The speed at which the OS loads, i did have XP and the different is amazing, it's such a pleasure to use everyday and i am very proud to have it. Monitor connection is so easy, tried it on a Show the other day and it was so simply.
The device stage is very good, i plugged in my phone, ipod and printer and it found all the drives and it had the device stage for the printer and MS mouse, the printer is a few years old and it has a device stage, its very impressive.
To sum up, Win 7 is a breeze to use and its a pleasure to use everyday – Just a Fantastic OS. It's so good.

The most interesting features i found in Microsoft Windows Seven are:
1. PSR (Record steps to reproduce a problem), Which is a very easy and professional way to know what exactly happened, when someone trying to describe a problem for you.
2. The Jump list (ofc)
3. The amazing performance/speed (which i can tell is way much better than Vista)
4. The easy, friendly, and efficient Task Bar, with the amazing way to access the shortcuts using the Windows Icon + The number. It's really a great idea! not to forget the thumbnail preview.
5. The Snapping feature, is just SMART!

One cool feature in Windows 7 is actually the removal of a certain feature: The Sidebar. The sidebar was so processor intensive and always slowed down the login process of Vista. A minor side-effect was that the gadgets had to be left just as they were on the sidebar (unless of course you wanted to pull them out to a bigger size on to the desktop – Which was not what I wanted). Even in the middle of activities the sidebar process would suddenly start eating up CPU time. But now in Windows 7 – The lack of it makes it faster and better. The computer works the way I want it to…

Hello,
Maybe a lot of us notice the difference in performance between windows vista and 7, i my self back to work with windows XP after vista first release but now i think am in love with windows 7 performance, Network and Internet management, jump list, parental control and a lot more.
To me the performance and UI important. Vista did provide us with the good UI but i feel windows7 overall look is cool.

There is not a single feature i like of Win7 but the whole package you get: performance, looks, features, easy of use,more productivity, etc. I had been stuck with WinXP for so long when when i got Win7 i just kicked WinXP out finally! I like that you can change themes without installing any 3rd party app, the performance boost you get in games, application like Maya, & i can go on about it for 100 more lines atleast.
Also i really like the much better UAC!!!!!

Voice Recognition in Windows 7 “computer by voice”,Windows 7 comes with voice recognition built right into the operating system? only you need to have a microphone and it will work instead of mouse and keyborad
first: allow the speech recognition software to review your documents and emails to learn how you talk/write .second:active the start listening or use voice activated mode to have it begin when you say “Start Listening”

Windows 7 is an Engineering master piece, it takes your computer to the ultimate level, and most computers can upgrade to it without upgrading hardware (first vista's problem).
Windows 7 is actually going to be faster than XP, because it has Direct2D design which is similar to the one that uses Linux. Using this feature, your computer doesn't have to worry that much for graphic issues on your destkop. The kernel on windows 7 was modified from the one on vista to be able to run more stable and better specially with multi-core computers. If you are in the case where you bought a laptop with dual core 2 like me but had XP, no problem! just buy windows 7 and BOOM your computer will run faster and smoother.
People tell crap about windows 7 because they were disappointed on Windows Vista being after XP since XP was really reliable. Now Windows 7 is going to create a new era.

My favorite thing is probably jump lists. After that it would be how easy it is to open two windows side-by-side.
Every day I seem to find something else that makes my life easier. It's even more obvious to me since my work computer is Vista and my personal computer Win7, and they sit right next to each other. So I am constantly back and forth between the two.

I would love to use Windows 7, as I heard its performance is more improved than its predecessors. Currently I use Windows XP, it will be much more convenient to me to change the OS, as I am learning web development, it would faster my activity and save my time too. To tell the truth, I have never tried Windows 7, only read on the websites. So I only can number some features which I need and would be comfortable for all users:
1. Improved media features;
2. Handwriting recognition;
3. Improved security system;
4. Aero Snap: it allows documents to compare each other;
and many other other good features…
