Hi Everyone,
I started using Telerik control one year back, when my company wanted to provide a rich and highly responsive UI to his clients. Most of the work needs to be done on client side and i didn't have much experience in client side scripting. The features in which we were interested were
1. Drag & Drop between two grids to move data from one grid to another.
2. Column's grouping and re ordering in grid
3. Single and Multiple Row selection in grid
4. Add/Remove Grid columns by end user
and all of these functionality needs to be done on client side and that was the CHALLENGE for Me
I started searching some third party controls which can help me to accomplish these tasks. I was surprised to see that Telerik RadGrid can done all of these tasks with very minimum ( just matter of enable/disable grid properties) coding. My first expression was 'Telerik is specially designed for my needs'
.
Another things i Loved was, well written Client Side object oriented APIs for all of the controls. For example, I found it very interesting that i can get selected rows of a grid or Add/Remove row by using client side APIs in a same fashion as server side.
Online Demos and help document was also very helpful to understand the controls and to get started.
In conclusion, I am agree with their slogan that they 'deliver more than expected'. 100% recommended to other.
Thanks
